The Royal Australian Navy has named the sailor who died while on shore leave in Cambodia.

Bradley William Livingston, 33, died at the beach resort area of Sihanoukville on Thursday.

He was a Leading Seaman Boatswain's Mate with the Perth-based HMAS Warramunga.

The Chief of Navy has offered his condolences to the sailor's family, who are being provided with support from the Navy.

The death comes almost three weeks after another Australian sailor died while on shore leave in the Indian city of Mumbai.

The Defence Force says the cause of death is not yet known.

Defence investigators are in Cambodia to probe the cause, and say they will not comment further until the investigation is completed.
